'Fleshtone 4'

 I've got a page in this excellent looking French Anthology, 'Fleshtone 4'. Here's the website for it. Also in the anthology are Vincent Vanoli, Lorna Miller and lots more. My story is the only one not in French, I hope it is still funny. I just got my contributors copies so I'm off to read it now.

I like my little artist bio thing in French, "fait de la soupe qu'il vend sur les marches du cote de Manchester".

Gin Palace Anthology Now on Sale

'Gin Palace' has arrived now! It looks great! I've put it on sale at my website shop if anyone wants to buy it with paypal. It's 40 pages with colour covers, priced £2.50 (free postage)

'Gin Palace' Proof Copy

Look at that, the proof copy of 'Gin Palace' has come today. It's another world record in speed by Fallen Angel Media seeing as I posted it to them on Saturday morning.

It looks awesome, and all the insides have come out really well too. Hopefully I'll get the copies in a couple of weeks and then I'll post them out to the contributors and start selling them.

Much Better Scan of 'Gin Palace' Cover

I did a much better scan of the 'Gin Palace' cover so that's good. I found a button on my scanner that turns it from 'home mode' to 'professional'. Wish I'd found that before....

Going to post it to the printers tomorrow morning so tonight is the last chance for anyone to send me more pages. It is 40 pages long, with colour covers. Looks really good! Now I'm going to put all the pages in order.

More Gin Palace Anthology

I got another 8 pages for 'Gin Palace' today, a great story from Francesca Cassavetti. The comic is now 39 pages long, all good stuff, so thats awesome! Anyone else, I'd need your pages by weekend... otherwise there will be a 'Gin Palace 2' coming out in time for Leeds (as long as this one sells....) so you can always do something for that.

Gin Palace Anthology

I've got three more pages in for 'Gin Palace'. They are from Simon M. who does 'Smoo Comics'. Here's the first page. He also did a guest strip at the Daily Crosshatch.
Deadlines still end of February for anyone else who wants to be in it, I've got 25 pages now but would like it to be nice and long.

'The Ballad of Hatty Jack'

I've been drawing away at 'The Ballad of Hatty Jack' for the last week or so. I'm on page 10 now out of (hopefully) 11. It will be my story for 'Gin Palace' but I'll split it into two parts so it doesn't seem too long.

My certificate thing came from the council yesterday so I'm going to have to do a lot of cleaning and shopping for my food business later in the week, it's exciting! I can go buy two regulation chopping boards, one for meat and one for veg.

I am having a stall at Blackburn Art Market on Saturday 25th of July and I'm going to try and get the Pasty Anthology finished for then. I think it would be a great place to launch it, on a market stall in Blackburn. Maybe it would sell well there too. I'll do some publicity for it nearer the time if I think it's going to be finished. It's only £5 for the stall so I can't lose...

My paper bags to put the anthology in have arrived. They are very nice.

I've done another piece for the anthology myself now, it's a hard boiled private detective story filled with pasties and pasty shops called 'Devil in a Blue Tabard'. It's more an illustrated story than a comic though, it works better as writing for some reason.

I'm going to get some paper bags like these to put the Pasty Anthology in, so they look more like pasties. Can't afford to get them printed on so they will be hand decorated in some way. I think they'll look cool.

Pasty Anthology

Here are some of the great pages I've had back for the Pasty Anthology. It's going along well. These are from Dave Hughes and Francesca Cassavetti. I need to do some more stuff myself now as they are so good... There is still room for a few more people if anyone is interested - anything food related.
