'Bastards 2 - Bastards Score Again'

Look what came in the post today, 10 copies of the new 'Bastards' book. They are a lovely looking book!

The long awaited B.A.S.T.A.R.D.S 2 is now available! Contributions are from Dan Lester, Paul Rainey, Rob Jackson, Oliver Lambden, David Baillie, Sean Azzopardi, Phil Spence, our favourite Norwegian, and on the girl's team Sally-Anne Hickman and Francesca Cassavetti, so get ready for a treat. 208 pages with a spine and that.

I've got 17 pages in this book, about 7 of them have never before seen print. The rest of the stories look great, I've not had a chance to read it yet.

If you would like a copy please e-mail me, they are ten pounds each.

Gin Palace 2

Here's the first page of my story for 'Gin Palace 2'. A thrilling tale of interstellar travel, peas and the meaning of existence. I drew it in January but have just scanned it in today. Now to clean up the pages. It is seven pages long.

James Nash - Speaking of Not Knowing

This is only 2/3 of the cover as it is in a very long thin format, too long for my scanner. It works well for this comic though.

I enjoyed this comic which is a collection of all the Diary Comics James Nash drew in 2009. I bought it at Good Grief yesterday and read it last night. The drawings very good and it's got a lot of daily strips in it. Thats what I like with daily strips, loads of them all at once. I'm not always sure about diary comics anymore as I've read a lot of them, but this is a very good one and well worth buying. Here's a link to his website. In this comic James Nash has a very knackering sounding job in a bank in London and is drawing comics / drinking a lot / thinking too much in his spare time.

Comics in Shops

Today I dropped off some 'Goblin Hall' and lots of my other comics at Good Grief and some 'Goblin Hall' at Travelling Man in Manchester. Why not buy some there, if you like.

I've contributed 17 pages for the new 208 page 'Bastards 2 - Bastards Score Again' Here's the cover. It looks very cool!

I also did a cartoon for Jim Medway's Comical Animal called 'The Merry Mice'. Here's his preview issue of what will be a great big e mailed magazine type thing about funny animal cartoons.

Apart from that I've mainly been making ice cream and drawing pages for my forthcoming comic 'The Gods Must Be Bastards'. I have now done 49 pages out of 60 or so. I don't think it will come out till Christmas as I am going to try editing it when it is finished. It's a crazy idea but it just might work. Maybe then it will be better. Also I need to redraw about ten of the pages.

A Nice Day Out

I had a very nice day out today in the sun with my brother. We drove to the lakes and climbed a medium sized mountain. Here's the view from the way down looking over Grasmere. I'm knackered now.
