A Nice Walk Round the Shoe Trail and Cibden Hill in Rawtenstall

 I thought I'd put up some photos to break up the blog a bit after all these black and white rows of panels. 

Yesterday we went for a ncie walk up Cibden Hill in Rawtenstall. We followed the Shoe Trail past the old dry ski slope, up to a pantopticon at Top O Slate. It was a very nice walk. Then we wandered round and saw a goat which shouted at us. Maybe it was trying to warn us as we got lost, climbed down a slippery cliff and had to ford a river, getting wet feet, and climb a wall. Then we went to Northern Whisper Bar next to the market where it was £2 a pint Wednesday on their very tasty beers.

 I've done a little bit of drawing now but I've not started a new comic yet. I am waiting for a good idea. Here's a couple of drawings I have done from my walks. Maybe I will be able to use them for something in the future.

 

A Walk on Alderley Edge

 We went for a walk yesterday round Alderley Edge. We haven't been for a long time, still worth going. It was very cold but the steep paths warmed us up.

 Look at these fellas I saw on my walk today. 

Fishwicks and The Ribble Walk

 Yesterday we went for a nice long walk before the rain and wind got too bad. We went to Walton Bridge and walked round Fishwicks and then up the Ribble and back again. The first half was very nice but then the footpath back down the river was closed or missing, and we had to walk along the road for a few miles, which was annoying.Still a good walk. 

 

A Walk Along the Ribble

 It was my brothers birthday yesterday so he had the day off and we went for a nice walk along the River Ribble near the edge of Preston. We saw the abandoned old Park Hotel, which is massive.

Lune Millenium Path

 It was very sunny and warm on Sunday, so we drove to Crook o' Lune and walked the Lune memorial Path to Lancaster and back. it's along an old railway line and is an eight mile walk. Most of it is lovely but it got a bit boring near Lancaster, you go along a long industrial estate and then into a slightly scabby park at the end. it was a good walk though. We saw Halton and then the Lune Aqueduct.
