Holiday in Regensburg

We took my Dad for a weeks holiday in Regensburg in Bavaria. When we arrived there were sudden thunderstorms causing bad floods on the Danube, with a dam busting and the rail lines being covered. It was hard to get there on the train, but we made it in the end. For the first few days we couldn't travel around but the floods started to go down after that. Regensburg was a very nice place, and we also had days out on the bus to Walhalla and Wolfesgg Castle and on the train to Landshut. Here's some photos. Back to the drawing now in a couple of days.

Holiday in Nice

We had a week's holiday in Nice and got back today. It was very good. We went all over Nice nd also on the train to Breil sur Roya, which is well worth a look. It only rained one day and was hot and sunny the rest of the time. It was very windy though with massive waves, too big for any swimming. We had a try and the wave just knocked us down.

Schleswig-Holstein Holiday

We've just got back from a little holiday in Schleswig-Holstein, luckily the snow went away the day before we travelled so we got there without any problems. We stayed in Schleswig, Lubeck and a couple of nights in Hamburg. The Schleswig house was very nice, we had a view of the Schloss out the window and saw deer eating snowdrops every morning in the garden below. Now it's time for a week of cooking black peas, soup and amking the first ice cream of the year. I'll get back to scanning and cleaning up the gnomes story after that and then I can get it printed.

Japan Holiday

For my fourtieth birthday I went to Japan again, this time with my brother. We went to Kyoto, Nara, Yudanaka (in the mountains to see the snow monkeys and onsen) and Tokyo. It was great. I bought a bag of manga too so I'll mention them on here once I read them. I've drawn a sketchbook so I'll try and get that out in time for Sheffield Zine Fest in two weeks. It'll be a little phoocopied thing.

Snow monkeys! They swim in a hot spring.

Hokusai Museum in Obuse. There was a lot of snow up in the mountains.

Akihabara Electric Town where I found a really cheap manga shop, Books Off. 100 yen manga books!
