It's the question literaly no-one is asking...
Well, it's at the printers now, here's a photo of the proof copy. The printers are very busy at the moment but they have promised it me before the end of July, hopefully it'll come sooner. I asked for it printed at American comic size, but as I had drawn it at A3 as usual, it has ended up as a new size, half way between A5 and A4. I like the new size, maybe it'll catch on. There is too much detail (especially battle scenes) on the pages for them to be readable at A5 so it seems a good idea. Hopefully it'll stand out more on my table, but not be a very hard sell, like any comic that's A4 sized has been for me. Once it turns up I'll be selling it here.

Ice Cream
This weekend was finally the start of my business empire, 'Jackson's Home Made Ice Cream'. Here's my stall. I did two farmers markets, Appley Bridge on Saturday and Hoghton Tower on Sunday. They went very well, and hopefully I can do these two events every month from now on. I sold 100 ice creams over all, and had lots of nice comments. Thanks to everyone for being so friendly!
Selling ice cream in the sun is so much easier than selling comics at shows...

Naoki Urasawa - 20th Century Boys Volume 9
I'm not buying many comics at the moment because I am skint but can't resist keeping up with this series. Not much happens in volume 9, it's a bit of a filler one after the extremely exciting volumes 7 & 8. It's all setting up the next volume.
This is my favourite manga series by a long way these days, it's so exciting. I always read them too fast to see what happens, but last week I went back and re-read the last eight volumes which was ideal as I was hungover and useless that day. Urasawa does an amazing job of keeping you excited even though for all nine volumes he's been playing with almost showing the bad guys face and then thinking of an excuse to cut away and not show us. You'd think that would have got very tired by now, but somehow it's not. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

'Gin Palace 2' News
Paul Rainey has just sent me a 4 page story for 'Gin Palace 2'. Its very good. I've just put the title above so as not to give anything away.
Deadline for stories is still the start of October.
Hurray!
Hurray! I have finally booked my first famers market! It's on Saturday at Appley Bridge, which is a nice little place near Wigan. I am very relieved as my money has been going down recently and making me worry. Hopefully it'll be sunny and I can sell lots of ice-cream, which I have made loads of.
Gin Palace 2 News
Lots and lots of people have said they'll try and do a story for 'Gin Palace 2' so that's great. There will definately be enough people to make a good long comic like the last one. Still room for more people to try if they like, contact me if you are interested. 'Gin Palace 1' has got a bit of distribution in the USA so will be appearing randomly in the better class of comic shops throughout the continent. If you see it why not buy it, and then let me know.

'The Gods Must Be Bastards' Page 7
This will be page 7. The pages in between these fancy ones are people in hats talking in a room. Maybe I'll have to go back to those and add a bit more excitement.
